Jessica Antola, Dao Women in Ha Giang.
On my second day in the Highlands I saw about twenty Dao (or Yao) women gathered in a serious discussion. I was assuming it was a dispute over land, but was then told the hot topic of debate was “a man”. I couldn’t help but laugh when I heard this thinking how much women all over the world have in common.
